In my opinion, the command “Wait” is such an underused yet incredibly useful command to have at your disposal as a dog owner. It can be applied to teaching your dog to wait for his food, wait for you to take off his leash, open his crate, etc. In every possible way you use this command, “wait” teaches your pup patience and self-control. And teaching your dog self-control is key to having a well-trained dog in almost every area of obedience, which is why I definitely recommend you take the time to teach your pup this command!
